The Malbork Castle, also known as the Castle of the Teutonic Order, was built by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century. The red-brick fortress covers about 200,000 square meters, making it one of the world's largest brick castles and a masterpiece of medieval Gothic military architecture. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997 for its outstanding cultural and architectural value. (Xinhua/Xia Yuanyi)
